All Those Old Photos!

Speaking of early memories…. (see “Jim’s Journal” and “Rhubarb” on the left-hand list)

This is one of my favourite pictures of me, my brother, my Dad, and our first dog, Jigsy. Probably taken around 1953 or so.

And here is the Birthday Boy. My ex-husband, Bill. I know it’s a bad-quality photo but I scanned it from a larger collage.

Happy Birthday, Bill!

We had three geese then, and I don’t know which one this was, but they were called Gonzo, Goshawk, and Gossamer, I think. Those geese made a mess of our yard and ate all our grass, which was good, I suppose, because it was back in the days when we didn’t own a lawnmower.

If it weren’t for memories, I don’t know how I’d make it through each day anymore. It’s the one thing about getting older that is a good thing.

Cheers to the past!

Those memories, journals, old photos, are the warp and woof of our lives, embroidered by our current day to day lives, making a three dimensional life tapestry. Without the past, there would be only loose threads….Thanks for sharing!

  5. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Geese are interesting creatures; I had some for a while and enjoyed them most of the time. 😉

When I first looked at the picture, I thought to myself, “Wait a minute, is that guy holding a duck?” So glad you cleared that up for me – I heard geese could be great watch dogs!
