Rooftops. Out the bedroom window. The closest one is ours, the roof over the “breakfast room” off the kitchen. That and the main roof over the rest of Crow Cottage, will be ripped off and thrown away tomorrow morning, and a new roof on both areas installed throughout the day. I am rather excited at the prospect of having a new, normal-looking roof here. It’s never been normal-looking since we’ve lived here. It will positively make me gleeful.
So here’s to new roofs! Our will be “Hollow Run Gray” roof shingles, and I hope all goes smoothly as I’ll be home all day, underneath the roof, listening to a swarm of roofers pounding from up above all day long!
Cheers,
Bex & Co.
They are here now and they are all on the roof right over me making the most incredible racket taking the old roof off! I need to get out of here!

As an addendum – I just heard we are to get “showers, thunder storms, and fog” today. That does not make me a happy camper! Rain, rain, please stay away from here!

You sign it Bex & Co.–Co. doesn’t look too impressed by the prospect of new roof, much coming and going, banging and hammering, disruption. But I’ll bet they will be happy to be in a nice warm, dry house come winter! You, too. I hope your roof turns out perfect.
