Going to Yorkshire in my Mind

I found this blog quite by accident, following links from other sites, and it was so charming that I have added it to my list to the left.

The Other Side of the Ocean

If you go to this entry of hers, you can see why I especially loved it:

Yorkshire Visit

She went to England – and Yorkshire – and now after reading her entries on this page, I am all homesick again for my Yorkshire. Why is it so far away from me?

I plan to revisit her pages as she has been everywhere it seems!

Just yesterday I found a food blog (not the one I sent you, Bex) written by two sisters from England. I really enjoy their banter, so light and with that British lilt and phrasing that’s so homey and pleasant.

Faraway places with strange-sounding names are calling, calling me, too. Will “someday” ever come?

  3. This is wonderful! Whitby, even! This journaler is a fine photographer, I’d say. Thanks for the link, Bex~!

I knew you would like it, too, Sandy. Me too… want to go but can’t. Darn. One consolation, the INTERNET. I know it’s not as good as being there, but it’s something anyway!
