Let’s go down to the seaside…in Robin Hood’s Bay

UK 2002 Part IV

I haven’t got a lot of words today. It’s very hot here and I’m just thankful I have two working air-conditioning units. I’m getting fearful that the earth is heating up too much and that we will all just sizzle up soon and blow away. I hope I don’t live to see that – or feel that! What have we done?

In happier times, back in 2002, which was the last time we visited England, the above photos were taken (this is just one of five albums of this trip I have at Webshots). I love that I can just click and visit this most splendid of places anytime I want from the comfort of my desk. Being there would be best, of course, but must face facts. We’re stuck here for now.

On this particular trip, we invited my friend “Sandy from Iowa” to come along with us, and we all had a fabulous visit. Thank goodness for memories, huh, Sandy?

Here are some more photos from the same trip:

Beautiful, just beautiful. I can certainly understand why you love it so. The stonework is amazing!

Gorgeous pics, Bex! I hope some time in the next few years that I’ll have a chance to get over there for a one-and-only trip. I hate flying though, so I’ll either have to get a cruise or really get up my courage.

Not to worry too much about the temps. They’re up, they’re down. I can remember temps near 100 in your area from my teen years, so it’s not anything unheard of.

This was wonderful to review England trip again.
I had a wonderful time and will always remember all we did.
I lay in bed at nite and smile over some to the things that happened.
I do remember the chill in the air and I was trying to buy something to cover my cold ears on the day we went to whitby.
I do remember the tea room at the bottom of the steps up to whitby(199 of them).
Thanks for posting those for all to enjoy .

Thanks for the virtual trip to Yorkshire you’ve posted. I’ve never been and wish that I had been there at some point in my life. I guess it is just not meant to be for me, but I really have enjoyed your photos. Thanks again. Thank goodness for the internet.
