Commentary For the New Year – Goodbye 2012, Hello F. Cliff

Happy (?) New Year,

“The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog…

He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world…

When all other friends desert, he remains.”

  1. Betty Lou says:

Happy & Healthy New Year to you and Paul, Bex…..let’s hope it will be happy and healthy for all of us in 2013.

  2. TopsyTurvy says:

Glad to hear the unemployment checks are continuing. My cousin lost her a year ago and she hasn’t found another yet.

  3. Bex says:

Awoke to some OK news — no fiscal cliff jump. I heard the details of it on radio and it feels pretty good from my perspective. Not 100% but OK. Since we aren’t in the income range of over $450,000, we won’t get a tax increase. I was more worried over the Medicare thing and that Dairy bill than anything, but I heard that was passed too, and they left Medicare alone as well as Social Security, and unemployment checks continue for another year. For us peons down here on the bottom of the pay scales, all is OK in the world in this new year. So I can safely say

    Happy New Year

(That is, unless the House messes everything up which is very possible…)

  4. Nina Camic says:

Happy New Year dear Bex and Paul! We all slide together, no? I like to be in the company of a lobsterman who knows his ocean for this one!

  5. Michael says:

Happy new year, Bex. Things will get better. You have my personal guarantee.
