Daily Photo Shoot – Day 28

The last day of this Daily Photo Shoot project.

Rather than an actual photo shoot, this is a warning about shopping at WalMart.

Read the above article first. You all know I am a staunch anti-WalMart person, so this just confirmed my opinion of them. A woman bought an iPad there and paid a total of over $500 for it and 20 minutes later brought it back showing them that it was just a piece of painted plastic! At first they didn’t want to even discuss a refund. She went to the TV with it and of course, now they will give her a refund. The bastards.

When will people realize what’s going on here? Geeze-Louise!

And just because that got me all riled up today, the only photo I am putting in here for my last day of February will be one that makes me smile, because I need a smile right about now…

It was taken yesterday, not today, but tough. Hi Kippie!

And that, my friends, is my Daily Photo Shoot project for February 2013.

The End.

l’empress: You have me laughing. It’s when I leave a Wal*Mart that I feel dirty. *laughing*

Wal*Marts are creepy. Unfortunately, I live on a rather isolated mountaintop (the highest point between Chicago & Miami – which isn’t really all that high. *laughing*) There’s only one grocery store, a Piggly Wiggly. It’s soooooo beyond dreadful. The shelves are partially stocked and the produce is trapped in shrink wrap to hide all the spoiled product. The prices are higher than the mountain – it’s DISGRACEFUL! So, oftentimes, I do drive a great distance to go to a Wal*Mart for a better selection, but like l’empress I feel dirty. In Nashville there’s a Harris Teeter 3 blocks away from where I rent. It’s the Rolls Royce of grocery stores… but no more expensive than the stupid store that holds me hostage on the mountain. Harris Teeter makes shopping such a pleasure!

Sorry I’ve gone on and on – obviously I agree with you and the subject of Wal*Mart riles me.

Bravo for your month of photos. You did it! And with such style and love and you. xoxo

I too am anti-Walmart. People keep telling me how wonderful it is, and I say, not in Connecticut. I always felt dirty when I went in there; it hasn’t been necessary since I don’t have to shop for my husband any more.

Thank you so much for sharing you and your family with us. It was an adventure every day.

It’s likely someone bought the original ipad and returned the fake… obviously the store employees were fooled. The Depot gets burned on fakes now and then, even though we check inside everything. However, we take the customer’s word for things, and we are not allowed to refuse a return on anything…

Been a fun month..Thank you for taking the time to show us your life there and your(fuzzies) family doing things also.
All good things come to a end but maybe down the road you will do it again.
