Urgent Warning about Dog & Cat Jerky Treats

A story in the news this week is about the dog & cat treats (jerky treats) that appear to be fatal to almost 600 pets and have sickened thousands more. Just in case you missed this story, here it is:

Click that link above. It’s from the place, PetFlow, where I buy my dog kibble. They have a great service where they will deliver all their products to your door and I am on a schedule (which you can alter) to deliver our kibble in a huge bag every 4 weeks to my door. It saves Paul from having to lug that from the store, up the stairs, and into the house, too. The FedEx buy does it all, bless his heart.

PetFlow’s Blog concerning this matter.

Anyway, I just got this message from PetFlow about the recent news about dog & cat jerky treats being quite dangerous and fatal to many animals. So if you give them to your dog(s) and/or cat(s), it might be a good idea to stop… but read this message from PetFlow for more information.

They depend on us, we need to be sure they aren’t poisoned. I guess the ones causing the damage were made in China or parts of them were. It’s still not completely understood yet but better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers,

Bex

I saw a similar article early this morning and sent the link onto DH. It said chicken jerky but DH had me immediately go and look at Pupper’s freeze-dried chicken treats. Fortunately, they’re made in the USA from USDA inspected chicken breast. Yay!

Oh, how scary. I know there have been some cat food recalls and fortunately I didn’t feed these to Bailey. Gosh, even if you read the labels you still can’t be sure.
