Game Three, Cards 5, Sox 4 (Robbed!)

I haven’t stopped steaming since last night.

Now that I am re-watching the end of the game where the Sox were robbed, I’m steaming all over again.

I have no respect for this bunch of umpires. The plate ump was awful the entire night (ask anyone who paid attention to the calls throughout the game), and this obstruction call was awful. (Look where the runner is — completely out of the baseline, and in the end he never touched home plate!!!!! Never.)

I’ve got nothing else to say.

Thank you, Michael. I see my post was removed as I said something similar, but with a bit more explanation – and here I am, cheering for both sides!

I think you might be watching with a slightly biased eye, Bex.

You’ve got to be kidding, Bex!!! Geez, I’m cheering for both teams, so no way I’m biased. The Sox got what they deserved last night.

Holy Smoke, did you see the replay with that 3rd baseman actually laying there on the ground doing PUSHUPS?? Three bloody pushups, and since that wasn’t enough THEN he lifted his feet up high to be sure he tripped the runner!

It was a heck of a way to win a ballgame and not something I like to see in a World Series, the scores should be clearer than getting a win because of something like this – but I really hope that 3rd baseman gets a GOOOoooD talking to by the manager, because he never EVER should have done that!

Because of his actions, the Cards deserved that run. If the 3rd baseman had just lain there the way he was supposed to, the runner would have scored no problem.

I don’t know, Em, it’s looking grim. I think it’s been “fixed” – I am always a conspiracy theorist with things anyway… ie 9/11, JFK, New World Order, Bilderberg Group, etc. etc.

The way the plate ump got ALL the calls wrong, even the announcers, and not just one set of them, the ones on TV, and two sets of them on 2 radio stations, were all commenting the whole game about his abominable calls – all over the place. I think the outcome has been predetermined so no matter what we do, the Cards will be the winners. But that’s just nutty me talking.

This is reprehensible. I hate it with umps are not at their best. I simply refuse to believe the Sox are going to lose this; they just can’t.
