A Sad Goodbye to a Fabulous Mayor

Want to know more about Tom Menino?

“Hizzonor” Thomas M. Menino, the longest serving mayor of Boston, passed away yesterday, 30 October 2014. This man constantly amazed – his supporters as well as his non-supporters. This video is fun to watch, showing the making of a future Boston mayor – one who would become well loved by all who knew him, and by all who didn’t know him so well.

This film shows Tom Menino running for City Counselor in 1984 and is quite an illuminating film. He was a man of the people, of the neighborhoods, and is going to be missed greatly. He is gone far too young at 71.

In sadness that the world has lost such a gem,

It says a lot about the man that a politician would be remembered so fondly.
