One morning my email problems all disappeared and Sandy and I were able to write back and forth in real time again! I was so happy.

Now, a week later almost, I am getting nothing from her, so Sandy, if you are reading this, email me at my gmail addy please!

What the heck is going on with the internet lately? It seems to be having a nervous breakdown. I am only having this problem with one person, and she is only having this problem with me, so why not with others? I don’t get it.

Things are just not right and it’s making me nuts.

Not that it took something like this to make me “nuts” because I was probably already there. But “nuttier” might be more accurate.

The previous two days I was having several issues with my Yahoo email not loading. It was extremely irritating as it went on and on.

Today, I only had one problem and that was Yahoo telling me that DH’s work email address didn’t have a DNS mail exchange, or something like that. Which, considering they’re a computer company that’s been around for almost 20 years, that’s ridiculous.

When email fails, can you send a message to her on FB? That’s what my friend in Denmark did when hers was acting up for a while.
I hate internet issues. They suck the calm out of the day.

I’ve never had Internet issues with email though my provider is a local coop. In the past when I’ve had minor hiccups, customer service is usually a kind-hearted mountain woman who will say stuff like, “Darlin’, I’m so sorry you’re having a problem.” They all sound like Aunt Bee and are delightful and helpful. Nonetheless, I decided several years ago to use Gmail because everything was far more accessible.

  4. Bex, I hope it all gets resolved. I just went through a horror show with my computer. All seems well now but it took hubby a few days and many calls to get it back on track. Maybe it is the problems Verizon is having. Fingers crossed it gets handled soon!

  5. Bex says:

Maggie, I have verizon for email but when this all started happening last week (?), I opened a gmail account and could email Sandy just fine from there.

  6. Bex says:

I just found this when googling about verizon:

Down Detector – Problems at Verizon

with a map showing red spots of trouble, mine included. So maybe it’s this… I hope it’s not just me. I will try to be patient and hope the email gods come to my aid soon.

  7. That sound extremely frustrating Bex! What kind of email are you using for your regular email address? It is gmail, or an email address with your internet service provider? It sounds very strange!
