Please Read This – Bad Pet Foods

Soap Box Time:

If you or anyone you know is feeding Blue Buffalo products to your pets, stop doing it and read this page. My friend’s cats are in Angell Memorial Hospital at this moment because of the effects of this horrid food. My own dogs have a few of the symptoms explained in these letters from customers and this has really scared me. So please just take a few moments and read this and share it with anyone you know who may be using this pet food.

I’ll be back sometime soon to talk more about what is happening with my own dearest dogs… but I am not a happy camper, let me tell you. I’ve posted this on FB as well. It’s imperative that anyone who is using this product stop using it now. I would say this is close to if not downright criminal what’s happening here.

    We have already switched to Wysong dry food and treats. Also, (where I buy it) has refunded me the $55 for my last bag of kibble which is going in the trash.

    From what I’ve sketchily read, the Blue Buffalo people outsourced the making of the food to China recently and there have been lots of crap found to have been put into it, illegal stuff here. So my neighbor Peggy and I are waiting for the class action suit to come out!


  2. Bex, I hope your dogs recover quickly!

    I have taken to only buying products that say, “Product of Canada”, which means the ingredients are all from Canada, and the food was processed in Canada. If I can’t find what I need “Product of Canada”, I buy “Product Of USA”. If the product does not specifically state it was “Product of Canada”, or if it doesn’t say where it was produced, then you can be pretty sure it isn’t using Canadian ingredients, because what company would not use the advertising advantage!

    My Mom, when she buys candy for the kids, won’t buy anything from China, nothing. The regulations there are not what they are here in North America, and the products that are imported are not being monitored as they need to be.

    How sad for all the pet owners who bought that food and fed it to their loved ones, in good faith.


  3. Oh Bex I hope the pups feel better soon. It’s so hard to trust what is out there. I knew if I ever got a dog again I would end up cooking for it so put the thought out of my mind. Would love to have a little dog though if Hubby was not allergic.

    Oh, Bex, I’m sorry to hear your pups may not be feeling well! I hope a few days on hamburger and rice and then switching to a different dog food will straighten things out.
