In my quest for the best food for the dogs, I found this:
Have a listen. Sounds great. More investigation needed but it’s a step in the right direction.
And more news from the home front later on… once things have settled down here a bit more.
Cheers,

I think I could turn and live awhile with the animals…
They are so placid and self-contained,
I stand and look at them sometimes half the day long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition,
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins,
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God,
Not one is dissatisfied… not one is demented with the mania of owning things,
Not one kneels to another nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago,
Not one is respectable or industrious over the whole earth.~ [Walt Whitman, from “Leaves of Grass, No. 32”] ~

Good luck with finding a good food for your dogs. We’ve found that the most important thing (other than having nutritious ingredients) is to have NO corn in the mix and very few grains.
Our dog food has 0% grains, though most dogs will tolerate up to about 10% grains – as long as there’s no crude corn in the food.
I’ve had 3 dogs now that if their food has corn in it (think roughly ground up hard popping corn kernels), they’ll start throwing up periodically. Get them a food with no corn and then they’re fine.
